Where is it made? Mod idea
When you have a massive base it can be easy to loose things. Even on a bus, which I rarely do. Could someone make a mod that will highlight the assembler etc that the item is being made?

Have you tried pressing Alt? It puts the recipe icon on every machine that's running a recipe (including context things like furnaces while they're running) along with item icons of the contents of chests and the filters on filter inserters. If this doesn't do what you're asking, I think you need to be more specific.

Yes, I always have the Alt on. It helps if I remember to put those map markings on too, but I still think its a nice idea if it can be done.
Re: Where is it made? Mod idea
I was having this exact trouble so I wrote a mod for it.
I just tidied it up a bit and published my "BeastFinder" here:

Feedback welcome.

I simply go into map mode, zoom out so it really is map mode and then click in the middle of the assembler group to place a marker. As marker I then slect the item the assemblers are producing.
Then when I'm looking for green circuits I switch to map mode, zoom out a bit and see green circuits icons wherever they are produced.
