[V453000] [2.0.21] Recycling rocket fuel on Aquilo eliminates need for crude oil

If you make rocket fuel on Aquilo with a small productivity bonus, you can recycle it into more solid fuel than was used to make it because the recycler is calculating based on the default recipe that takes 10 solid fuel. This results in being able to make rocket fuel from just ammonia, with no need for any crude oil.

If this isn't intended, perhaps recycling could use planet-specific recipes?

Rocket fuel should probably recycle to itself, since while it's made in an assembling machine it looks more like a chemical change. That would remove this exploit.

Hi, thank you very much for noticing this one, I've fixed it by making rocket fuel from ammonia require the same amount of solid fuel as the normal recipe. To compensate, I decreased the amount of ammonia and crude oil that solid fuel from ammonia costs, along with tweaking its crafting speed a bit.

Thank you!

If rocket fuel now requires 10 solid fuel instead of 3, does that mean there is no longer a point to making rocket fuel for more efficient heat? This change makes it sound like just burning solid fuel would be more efficient than making rocket fuel, which I feel is a bad change.

Edit: Referring to the Aquilo specific recipes of course.

That depends on how much the ammonia and crude oil requirement was reduced by. But even in the current version, it's more ammonia efficient to use solid fuel if you don't have enough rocket fuel productivity.

Ammonia doesn’t run out. Neither does crude oil, but it’s more limited. Plus it sounds like they’re making solid fuel cheaper and not the rocket fuel, which makes burning solid over rfuel even better again.

I guess the rocket fuel prod research does make it more efficient eventually, so maybe it’s not as much of a problem as I think it might be.

I just checked and even if the solid fuel requirement is increased to 10 with no other changes, it would only take 20-30% rocket fuel productivity to make it more crude oil efficient.

I hate this, because now it will cost crude oil to void Ammonia until we get 300% productivity.

To compensate for losing that ability, can we get something like a seperate solid fuel recipe costing no crude oil, but like 4x the ammonia? Or something along those lines?
