Linux steam demo corrupted

Demo works for him if downloaded from website, Steam version does not.

Ubuntu 21.04

For some reason the steam demo is stuck on 1.1.32.

The stuck version does not seem to be actually fixed, at least https://steamdb.info/app/452280/depots/ still shows the demo on 1.1.32
