The official rail implementation is a dirty hack. The devs just don't want any competition. :P

Wildly off topic, but I build extra cliff explosives and turn cliffs way up in map gen. Because then I can blow more of them up, because I hate them that much!

Come on, guys. The atomic bomb is clearly the way to go for most efficient tree-killing.

You are doing it wrong!
Have to set the biters on fire and let them burn down their own forest while trying to get away.
