FAILURE: 44 out of 59 tests failed (274 failures).
Test time: 12.96 seconds.
:(

Are you only logging this info to stdout? At least I couldn't find a logfile anywhere in the factorio directory structure. I added some redirects to the batchfile, the outputs are attached.

This is on a Windows 7 SP1 x64 (it's actually an office machine, a Dell Optiplex  ). If you need any more details, I'll be happy to provide them.

I don't have OCD, I have CDO. It's the same, but with the letters in the correct order.

Thanks for the logs, that is quite strange. I can't get much more out of it, but we should add an option to put all the saves that differ in some folder, so we can check what exactly went different on the machine.

These tests mean, that you would probably have constant desyncs with our computers, and we are trying to solve that.

Ok, so I'm almost sure, this is just is caused, by me forgetting to mention the update of the tests folder in the automated updater (actually in script that makes it).

In other words, the tests were not updated from 0.11.2 to 0.11.3 could you please try to download fresh game 0.11.3 and run the tests?

Hmm, ok so at least the tests might help us to find the desynchronisations in the future.

I will add extended dumps, so the test will make the saves of the different situations, so people can send them to me and I can try to find out, what is different.

This will be prepared for 0.11.4

kovarex, would it also be helpful to you to have output of these tests from both 32- and 64 bit versions on the same PC?

@Kovarex:

Did you run the tests on your computers using the RELEASE build?
(Just asking :p)

Yes, I did ran the tests from the release packages as well. And they worked fine. This will be resolved in the next version, I believe it will be something trivial once I get the results.

May I ask if you guys are on track of that pesky multiplayer desync on big maps? We got a pretty amazing factory on hold until it's fixed :?

There are currently 6 desync bugfixes prepared for 0.11.4 release, some of them can happen quite often.
We developed better ways of detecting these, and we are adding more tests as well, so I believe the next release will be much more stable.

The release is planned on the next thursday - 4.12.2014, as we also have to go through the non-multiplayer bugs as well and try to fix as many as possible.

Just a question, are you planning on including some method for us to analyze the desynced maps to determine what caused them (to help with mods/just remove it as a stop-gap)?

There is already a code, that downloads the desynced version of the map and makes package of both maps, so we can check the differences, but it is deactivated now. We will include it when the core game is more stable and we will be looking for the rarer bugs (and mod related bugs).
