I think that is very unlikely, because the graphics take up quite a bit of space. The Factorio/data/base/graphics and Factorio/data/core/graphics directories are about 65% of the Factorio installation.
On the other hand, a mod could do it (but would be very large).

For the past two months I was wanting to get the ability to upgrade the Belt transport system with the robots.
Because it's really exhausting to do it from yellow, to red and blue as the base grows.
It would really improve the game.

Could be possible to upgrade the spliters, inserters and other up-gradable buildings.
I have total of 420 hours of gameplay and one map with 60 hours that I was playing. Currently stopped because it's too much to change all the belt routes from the red and yellow to blue.
And some blueprints are in red. Would be nice to place red, and to change it with bots to blue. Then create new BP with blue for the future.

Could it be possible?
