Updated from 13.4 to 13.5, promt said to show you these logs.
I don't have problems though.

This is listed in the 'Bugfixes' section twice. I could understand a human making that error but how does a FactorioBot do that?

That should be solved for any updates beyond 0.13.5 -> new.

The bug exists in the 0.13.4 code which is what did the updating to 0.13.5 on your computer :)

Because the robot just copy-pastes the human-written changelog to the forums :)

So Is it ok if I just want to initialize the tables under 'global' in case the mod is new for an existing save? I have tested with my mod. No error was shown when loading a vanilla save. :D
Edit: oh nvm, I think I have got the answer:
... and setting up meta-tables.
This is what on_configuration_changed was created for
:http://lua-api.factorio.com/0.13.5/LuaB ... on_changed

But from what I see there, the parameter to the event is not documented at all, I added task to fix it for the next version.
So you mean we shouldn't even set up the tables in on_load?

I learnt about the parameter of on_configuration_changed from here:
https://wiki.factorio.com/index.php?tit ... on_changed

If map generation is bothering you so much then generate a map in 0.12 and then load 0.13 and load up the generated map. boom, map generation problem solved and we can carry on with the mass of small problems affecting gameplay.

Thank you, come again. you know you will.

It should be (and is for me), are you sure you haven't opted in to 0.13.4 specifically?
Restarting Steam might also help.

A see it similar to PUNISHER989- as the game stands now with 0.13.5 it seems well balanced and to run smoothly even on weak machines of all kind.
And that's as a much overlooked fact as it is a very big deal.

What's wrong with the map generation in your opinion?

Anyone unhappy with the 0.13.5 map could try this nice map string:

Code: Select all

AgQECQAAAGNydWRlLW9pbAIEBAoAAABlbmVteS1iYXNlAgQECAAAAGl

It wasn't at the beggining, but using the "experimental" branch you get the last build. You don't have to wait to see the release to choose it from the list :P

I have found a huge issue with this update.
As i have been playing in a 0.13.4 server i want to stay in that beta update.
But my issue is that i can't it is forcing me to be in 0.13.5 even if i select 0.13.4
Need really needs a VERY fast fix so we can stay in the other beta updates.

An interesting solution for those wanting to switch between 0.13 and 0.12 with minimal effort.

I bought through steam originally which I wanted to keep stable to use with older saves but also really wanted to test 0.13... So created an account on factorio.com which allowed access to download that experimental alpha/and login to the game. Thus, I found its possible one can use both versions (which dont seem to conflict) without having to install different versions for switching. Only downside is some settings share the same config files it seems (ie mod-list.json) so it requires loading the game to toggle version specific mods, which requires restarting, when switching versions. It would be nice to be able to have a built in solution to set a custom location for one (maybe via launch parameter) :)... For now I'll just create a custom batch to launch the game which would switch out the config file while non steam version in use (EDIT2* On second thought, it seems to make more sense duplicating and then renaming the entire root profile folder under the user profile (AppData\Roaming\Factorio) since it doesnt cause incompatibility problems between mods (for example having multiple versions of the same mod installed for different versions of the game--which causes the game to fail on launch). Another bonus is a clean saves folder).

You can use archive version instead of installer one, it will store config and save in app directory. If you leave 0.13 in steam and use separate 0.12 install, it will allow you to still receive achievements.
