tried to load a saved game and got "energy source error - most probable cause is the double entity problem"
also affects the 3 related autosaves as well

Also, if this error comes from the base game - I don't believe it's localized

Most errors aren't localized because they aren't meant to happen and locale isn't guaranteed to be loaded if they do happen.

Thanks for the report. Do you have any way to take a known good save and get it into this state? As it is now, the map is simply corrupt.

I will see if i can re-create it - just not sure what i did to trigger it though
