[16.12] Desync loop

A player tried to join my server. He got stuck perpetually in a desync loop. I couldn't even kick him as he desynced before his player was even created.

How often did he desync? Post the server log please.

He desyncs before he ever joined. And it kept happenening every time he'd finish downloading the map.

His name only ever appear once in the log (note, I have a busted script that has inflated the log file, but it hasn't caused problems for any of the other players to have played):

If it is only the one player having problems and other players are fine, it might be something wrong on his side. Are you in contact with him?

I am not. But his constant downloading did harm the experience for everyone else on the server until I banned/unbanned him.

Do you know if this save was a 0.15 save loaded directly on the server?

Or was it migrated through multiple versions of 0.16?

This was a 0.16 game from start to finish. I think started on 16.11 and moved to 16.12.
