[15.23] Crash on start at 39%

When starting the game and performing clipping 39%, I get an Unexpected Error.

Thanks for the report. How much VRAM does your graphics card have? The log file shows that you're trying to run the "high" graphics quality option which requires a minimum of 2 GB of VRAM. If your card doesn't have that you'll need to turn the detail down to "normal" or "medium" depending on how much it has.

Hi, I'm getting the same problem as OP. I tried the and played through the demo before I bought the full version of the game and it ran fine, no issues. Downloaded the full version and the game hangs at 39% on the first run, won't respond to command-Q have to force quit it. Best I can tell log file is the same except I'm not running the steam version and a different CPU, but importantly I'm running the same graphics card, 512MB of video memory. Here is the log file.

After the first time I run it, the second and all subsequent attempts to start the game hang at 40% with a different log file until I delete the folder in Application Support when it goes back to original. Here is the "40%" log file:

It looks like on mine and OP's log file graphics settings are in fact set to medium. Also I'm not sure how we are supposed to change the graphics settings if the game fails to get past the loading screen. Was this comment maybe meant to be in response to a different issue?

You can change the graphics settings in the Application Support\factorio\config\config.ini file.
