On starting Factorio on Steam the boot up stops at Loading Sprites (40%). On selecting the Task Manager I get an error message Sprite"_base_/graphics/technology/combat-robot-damage.png" couldn't be loaded.
My O/S Windows 10 - 64 bit has just been updated.

Use: Verify Integrity of Game Cache on the factorio installation within steam.
If that does not work, upload the log file.
