[2.0.20] Underground belt ghost placement off the edge of a space platform

When trying to ghost build underground belts on a space platform.
If one part of the underground belt is (ghost build) on the platform, and the other end is (ghost build) off the edge, the two parts do not connect and the behavior is weird even after they (and the platform) get build.
Behavior is the same whether or not ghost space platforms have already been placed off the edge before placing the underground belts.

Only removing the u-belts and rebuilding when the space platform had been extended ended up connecting them properly.

You'll have to give a bit more information here. What do you mean their behaviour is weird after getting build? Also, read this post first: 3638

The only weird thing happening for me right now is that after the space platform gets built, the connected underground belt changes direction to match the "end" part, which gets placed the other way around, and that feels like it is a bug that should be fixed.

Other than that, the belt will work normally as long as there is a space platform on all tiles between the end points of the underground belt. If there is a gap, they will not connect. See the video:

I suppose its mostly this interaction that 'bugged' me. I expected to be able to plan in ghost form how much platform i would need to send up. And the belts displaying the connection like usual
