I really did consider putting this in the off-topic forum, but just read this and see if you don't start thinking this and Factorio cannot be coincidence:

Code: Select all

I meant no harm. I most truly did not.
But I had to grow bigger. So bigger I got.
I biggered my factory. I biggered my roads.
I biggered my wagons. I biggered the loads
of the Thneeds I shipped out. I was shipping them forth
to the South! To the East! To the West! To the North!
I went right on biggering...
[/url]

I don't remember the story myself, I can't even be sure it was read to me as a child. But I'm gonna go get a copy soon, that's for sure.

I quote this all the time with respect to Factorio, I'm constantly 'Biggering my factory'.

Ah, yes, that's a good story - pretty much everything Dr. Seuss made was. I believe they made a movie about it as well, but it has quite a few differences from the book. I haven't seen the entire thing myself, but I think mostly it's longer, with some small plot changes.

Factorio done right, the poetic way :)
[Edit] On second thought, I will move this to Off topic, considering it fits well to Factorio theme, but is not a discussion about the actual game.

Of Dr. Seuss? "All of them".

When graduating from Dr. Seuss, try _The Cyberiad_, or getting tangential with it P.G. Wodehouse's Bertie & Jeeves stories

I second that. I'd give you a list of the ones that I especially like, but linking this might be quicker.

So I scrolled down a bit and saw this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pocket_Book_of_Boners
I immediately burst out laughing.
I am so immature.
Anyway Horton hatches the egg was another one of my favourites, along with green eggs and ham.
At this point I am getting nostalgia overload

"At the time of its writing, the term "boner" was commonly used to mean a silly mistake"
...TIL. For a moment I thought Dr. Seuss had a dark side...

Well...you could be right in saying that.
The book, Yertle the Turtle may show Hitler's rise and downfall.
You know, power at the pain of others.
