I'm bored, so here's a proof that there are infinitely many prime numbers:

Let's first assume, that there are only finitely many prime numbers. This implies,
that there is a largest prime number p. We can then simply multiply all prime
numbers and get an even larger natural number q:
2 · 3 · 5 · 7 · 11 · 13 · 17 · … · p = q
Now this number q is obviously not a prime number, but let's take a look at q + 1:
Assuming it is not a prime number means, that there has to be a smaller prime
number r, that divides q + 1. However since we already multiplied all existing
prime numbers to define q we know, that r must also divide q. That is however
a contradiction to the fact, that no consecutive numbers (like q and q + 1) can be
divided by the same number larger then 1.
So our initial assumption, that there is a finite set of prime numbers, lead to
contradiction and was thereby wrong. #
