Hi everyone!

As all of you, I love Factorio a lot! Also, I was thinking of making a game that starts from the same basic concept (assembling items), but you can also build a city and have to manage it. Transportation will also play a big part: there will be ATUs (Automated Transporter Units = small robots), automatized trains and space ships. Also, the fighting will be much more developed, there will be separate missions where you will build Attack Robots and fight the enemy factions.

Here is a small concept of a building: Image

What do you guys think?

I think this should be moved to Mod-suggestions..

Thanks for your comment, but the thing is that it's not intented to be a mod, but rather a new, independent game ;)

So: you'll have to build many types of robots: ground robots (laser, laser grenade, red laser), flying robots, repair bots, and so on. So the goal is going to be to create an army as strong as you can, then attack the enemy factions, which also have a lot of robots (ground and flying robots, and so on), so this part it's going to be more like a RTS :)

So again, would you play this? :))

There are so many games I want to combine Factorio with. A City builder where you would have to produce the building materials in your factory, as well as construct the actual city, is just one of them.

What if the rocket you launch was a Kerbal Space Program game?

What if the Tanks you can mass produce would be used in an RTS.

And so on.

I call this dream game "The Impossible Game™"

Yeah, good point, LOL :D

But, but... I have made a lot of games before, so I do *KNOW* how hard a project like this would be. It took the Factorio team about 4 years, and it's still not finished. So, I wouldn't say it's "impossible", but rather it's a "huge amount of work". My biggest released game took about 8-9 months to develop (using the code from the pre-quel), so in total was a bit over a year. The conclusion: it's achievable, so don't tell me what to do ;)
