Can someone explain me this, How does Factorio have the most weridly friendliest community?

A while back me and a few friends were running a Factorio server by hosting ourselves whenever we were on. But we never set a password on it, never. But somehow we didn't have anyone join for around a months worth of doing this, until only one person joined, they were from a completely different continent, mostly spoke a whole different language, but readily agreed to hop on a call with us, and help us out. Literally, I don't know any other public community that would show kindness in this way, heck the guy left after we talked a bit, toured the factory and told him its just a friend group game without even breaking anything, calling on anyone else, or anything else! They actually even gave us more help by showing us how to do some things better, now how does a public community turn out to be this nice?
