Own "Mode of operation" option

Help me find the way to add own "Mod of operation" option to custom entity when it connected to circuit network

I wrote blueprint request chest revamp mod and go slowly learn and understand every part of deprecated mod, source codes of giants and factorio.
I want simple figure out this point. I may continue without this knowledge, but, if you can help me find the way of sight I will be thankful!
