Is there any way to control rail signals using lua scripts? I've got straight rail, how can I change state of signal of block?

There is a mod that adds a rail switch called "Rail logic system" and can be found at viewtopic.php?f=93&t=14105&hilit=logic+rail

I want to write own mod I'm just searching something helpful, documentation doesn't have anything interesting.
