You can see that the screen is oddly pixelated/scan-line-ish near the top and bottom.

Isn't that just the new "zoom-to-world" shader - i.e. when you're in map view mode but zoomed in to a region you can see via radar?

Indeed. It's actually the whole map view. there's an effect on its borders, whether within radar range or not.

But it looks really weird in the screenshots, looks different (and better/correct) on mine
