[0.18.36] Steam loss while transferring it from boiler to steam engine

I've spotted that there is loss of steam while it is transferred from boiler to steam engine.

Steps:
1. Place boiler that connected to water supply.
2. Insert 1 wood into it. It leads to producing 66.7 units of steam that is correct (2MJ / 30kJ per unit = 66.(6) units).
3. Place steam engine that connected to that boiler. But by unknown reason it is filled with 66.1 units of steam only.

Where is the rest of steam if no steam remains in boiler?

It's converted into power inside the steam engine energy buffer :)

You have deleted my post that have shown that interal buffers of entities lead to inconspicuous inaccuracies in the game where the math is cornerstone. It is a strange step from Factorio staff.

No he did not, I did, because it does not belong in this topic.

1. Why do you think the post was irrelevant? It directly shown that the expected result couldn't be reached due internal buffers of the entities. But this behavior wasn't qualified as a bug.

It's as if I said that the game tells 2x2=3.9, but they would answer me that this is a feature.

2. You even didn't notify me about that. I would understand if it was rude or something.

I would not expect fluid math to be so precise to guarantee that you will be able to research automation just on 3 pieces of wood even if math is exact here. There is for example logic to purge fluid system if every fluid box has less than 0.05 unit of fluid inside, and because you have steam in 2 fluid boxes (one in boiler and one in steam engine), you may loose up to 0.1 unit of steam when purge happens which may be the missing amount of energy to complete this research.
