Minutes are abbreviated as 'm'

Open the production statistics screen (pressing 'P'). Observe (see screenshot) that 'm' is used as abbreviation for minutes. Opening the power production by clicking a power pole and the same symbol can be observed.
Desired
Use the SI symbol for minutes is 'min' (see e.g.wikipedia article on SI units). The symbol 'm' refers either to metres or mili in SI. Note that the use of 's' for seconds and 'h' for hours is correct.

m is a perfectly acceptable abbreviation for minutes where I'm from.

Minutes are not an SI unit - they are classed as a "non-SI unit that is acceptable for use with SI units".

I mean, if you want full SI, why not centiseconds.

Thanks for the report, however we aren't changing this. "m" is minutes.

Minutes are officially accepted for use with the SI, the symbol is "min". Nevertheless, I'm fine with "m" to save some space.
