[0.18.12] Tank on acid patch cannot drive backwards

A tank that finds itself on an acid patch (either by driving over it or by getting splashed by a spitter or worm) cannot drive backwards off the patch. I suspect the slowing effect might be doing this. If this is a by design, it feels rather counter-intuitive.

Question...
Did you release the brake/ reverse button then press it again?

In other words holding “w” to drive forward then holding “d” to brake will only halt your forward motion, you must release “d” and press it again to move backward.

Yes. In fact, the tanks stops when driving backwards over a patch (or maybe multiple patches).

Yes. This is why I don't use the tank anymore to plow through larger nests.

I suspect that's working correctly. The tank has much less power when driving backwards so if it's being slowed by acid then it might just not be able to move backwards.
