Minor Bug in Display of Pump locations for train stop

Post by gallomimia »

Image

It appears that every second car has an off-by-one error when I am setting up this fluid unloading station (Crude oil). Two notes, the last car has its tail end hanging over a curve, resulting in the final square of valid pump sites being in fact invalid. Also, electronic locomotives mod is running, and that is indeed a Standard Electric Train Locomotive.

Whoa! I forgot. This is factorio 0.17.69 running under steam on Ubuntu 19.04 with nVidia drivers 430.50
Any other details needed?

Not a bug

Pump shows to which rail piece it is connected to, it has nothing to do with fluid-wagon visuals. If train would not be here, it will still be showing that.
This offset is on every second fluid-wagon because fluid-wagon length + spacing (6+1) is not divisible by rail piece length (2)

Pumps on curved-rail are unsupported

Not original poster. Is this the same reason if I go to put a train stop on the other side of my rails every inserter and chest I already had down is off by one? :(
I have mods! I guess!

The same underlying reason, that 6+1 is not divisible by 2, applies there too. I doubt that's going to be changed, but you can work around it by making trains with an even number of engines.

... trains with even number of cars (including trains) and symmetrical cargo setups, really.
