Belts marked for deconstruction stop working before actual deconstruction

Post by manjhi »

I think this has been the behavior since long, but I think that's incorrect. This should work exactly the same as when they're marked for upgrade. They should keep working in their current capacity till the actual action is taken by the bots.

Marking an entity for destruction is just that, marking. The entity should keep working till it's actually deconstructed.

There was a discussion about this long ago, about the belts becoming a "construction bot logistic system" or something like that. The current behavior is extremely unlikely to change.

All entities behave like this. Assemblers, inserters, etc. It is quite useful if you need to emergency-stop a contaminated production line.
