see world/picture, the bots didnt remove the trees but instead just build over them

Mose over the tree and check what mods are listed there - it will be one of them.
Most likely one that modifies tree collision box.

Could also be squeak through; if there's enough room for the player to squeak through the field of solar panels, there's enough room for a tree to remain standing, if it's in just the right spot.
