[0.9.8] Bad Allocation when saving, and frequent crash

Hi,

i have an issue when i try to save the game, it display "Bad Allocation", i can play until the autosave which cause the game to crash.
I began to have these problems few days ago, i don't know why now and not before.

Sometimes the game freeze during 3 seconds for no reason.

The Bad allocation can be caused by not enough memory.
Could you check how much memory is factorio taking, and how much free memory you have?
(You can press Control + Shift + Escape in windows to get the Task manager)

WOW LOL, had no idea factorio used so much memory. I'm at 1.3 Gig memory footprint. Now I'm glad I invested in 12 Gig total memory. Lol

Is that because it's in alpha and has yet to be optimized, or is the memory usage going to keep at the current level?

Most of the memory requirements are because of the graphics laying in the memory. It will probably not get better, unless we use some compression methods, but we would use the saved space to put more graphics to the game anyway :)

So it will probably not get better :)

Anyway, as the error is not reproducible, and probably connected to not having enough space of HDD or not enough ram, I will close it as not a bug.
