Middle mouseclicking on the train car inventory brings up a filter window that allows you to set what can go into each slot. This is handy, but there are two bugs that arise from this -

Firstly, the filters cannot be cleared. There is no 'remove filter' option. I haven't checked that removing the train clears the filter, so that might be a solution.

Secondly, the filters do not autosort, which makes them somewhat clunky to set.

I think as a temporary soloution you can place down an empty cargo wagon and then shift-right click the empty wagon and then shift-left-click on the wagon you want to clear its filters !

Wait, copy-pasting wagon filters works in 0.12?! Why was I not informed of this

Anyway, Ctrl+Middle Click should clear the filter.

Yes, clear filter works, it is control+middle click by default, but can be configured in the options.
