Bassically what the title says:
Signal selection (despite saying "set the filter").

Upgrade Planner:

Deconstruction Planner.

This happens despite the fact I haven't researched most of the above.
You'll probably file this as "not a bug" though as a "signal" isn't technically an item, and factoriopedia isn't technically a "selection list".
However the upgrade and deconstruction planners do seem to be "selection lists" of "items".

Personally I found this pretty spoiler-ish myself. I have purposefully avoided looking at most of the ones I don’t recognize yet but obviously that is pretty hard to do when you are actually looking for something in there for a relevant purpose.
I agree that everything should be hidden by default unless the player manually switches a toggle in the options to reveal everything that hasn’t been researched yet.

Sadly some of the things there are raw materials (e.g. ores) that don't require research to unlock. Perhaps those could be hidden until you visit the associated planet or acquire the resource? (I've had games do the later, which I like as it encourages me to go find every item in the game).
Some things are not items though, e.g. tiles, planets, enemies, trees. So those should be planet locked.

I just want to +1 on this feature since right now factoriopedia is of very limited use in the larger modpacks and it is a bit of a shame. I understand that it only affect a smaller percentage of the players, however, I think there is a way to implement the feature which makes it non-intrusive for those who play vanilla. My suggested version would be something like this:
Under settings, there is an extra drop-down menu with the three options:
- Show all items and recipes in factoriopedia [default]
- Show only items and recipes at current science level [i.e., recipes and items that can be researched using the science packs for which at least one has been build]
- Show only researched items and recipes
Factoriopedia should work as it does now and the only effect of the setting is to gray out items that are not available, so as to not confuse players who have enabled the option by a mistake (grayed out items can potentially have a tooltip that tells the player why they are grayed out if this is a concern).
This means that Factoriopedia will look/work the same as it does now for those who use it out of the box, and mods with many recipes or items can choose another default setting.

Thanks for the report however none of these are bugs. The constant combinator, deconstruction planner, and upgrade planner lists show more than just items and as such do not follow the "show all ITEMS in select list GUIs" setting. It has worked this way since the setting was introduced and you can check it in 1.1.110 if you'd like.

Sure, but that just means it's a longstanding bug that no one's bothered to report.
It's probably best to just delete the "show all item in selection list GUIs" option if you don't want to implement it in a way that makes sense.
