Mining drill ghost will not place when blocked by other entity even though it is in position without ores

When placing ghosts of mining drills, the ghost will not place because some drills are blocked by other entities (in my case rail) even though there is no ore on that specific spot and the mining drill wouldnt place anyway, so the ghost valid placement check should still pass and place the ghosts.

I'm not entirely sure what you're getting at, but if what you're saying is that you have a large blueprint and a small part is blocked, hold shift and click to place ghosts for the parts that are not obstructed.
