Dear Factorio team,

after just over 4000 hours, I finally get to report a "bug" report.

My understanding and that of others is, that the mods are sorted by the internal names. This is not very useful as I have to go through the entire list every time to find a mod that doesn't have a corresponding internal name.
Somebody found the reason by looking into it:

Factorio version is 1.1.91 and everything else is up to date.

This is not a bug, make a feature request.

I will, but I don't think that this is entirely not a bug.
You can close this, of course.

They’re ordered by load order. By dependency order. The same order that events happen in.

The order is basically irrelevant since searching is a thing in that GUI.

Looking into it more, the actual controls are ordered that way but it looks like the GUI re-sorts them by simple mod name.

Whereas you are right about searching, the search does NOT allow searching for a mod name! I cannot see e.g. all settings for a certain mod by entering the name of this mod into the search field.
