If you download the game through the website, the file name says factorio_alpha_x64_1.1.50.tar.xz, even though the game isn't in alpha anymore.

I've only tested it for the linux version but I assume this holds true for all versions...

Wube somewhere said that the word "alpha" is mentioned in so many build scripts and configs that they are afraid to touch anything.
