Looks like it consumes more materials and saves half of the power when comparing to craft bolts from iron plates. This is a bad trade off obviously. And it introduces more logistic challenges to work through.
I suppose this recipe is intended to be like "You are consuming less resources, but you need to figure out how to route those bolts now". So maybe this recipe could be boosted a little bit?

I hope this balance error will be fixed in next release
the production of bolts using sand casting should be more profitable than the production of iron sticks

Casting of bolts requires common sand casting and not advanced sand casting from arqad wax
iron stick, iron gear wheels, small parts, iron pipes, drill heads, copper cables, tinned cables, engine units, lead containers, niobium pipes and multipurpose pipes require advanced sand casting
Only iron bolts require common sand casting

yes i know there is a problem but i didnt have time to insist about it to py and king that are also buissy with pyAE

In the same vein, advanced casting of pipe is barely better compared to making it directly from iron plates to the point where it doesn't seem like it's worth bothering with :

And underground pipes take the same amount of metal :

May I ask what mod or menu is that which displays the details like in the first post and the fifth by blue templar?

The one in post 1 is Factory Planner. The one in post 5 is Helmod.
