Mk. 04 has evolved beyond the need for blades. :D

After Watching Minute Physics video on wind turbines, I get an itch.
Video: https://youtu.be/WGKIjojADmg

The mk04 is really nice though.

LOL i got that in my recommendations a few days ago ,
now we can analize the animation speed relative to turbine blade area

MK04 is more advanced that our common technology. Its a futuristic approach based on what people says about the future of wind turbines. Blades sux, with time they probably goes towards what jet engines do.

About hydro-power is almost impossible due the factorio limitations. To have a gradient of fluid we must have HEIGHT its a 2D game and even that may be simulated, would demands lots of work and knowledge i and my partner King, dont have.

Is it possible to have structures in the water? I'm thinking of generating power from ocean currents, like wind turbines but underwater.

NICE
But now i am curious what will the the mechanical difference between the 2 types ?
raw power? variability ?

Aerial Turbines. Better than stay on ground, higher altitudes have best winds. They will roam around collecting wind and deliver to the platform the energy collected.

These look fun, I look forward to getting to use them. How does the high tech one compare to the main four tiers?

will there be a 1:1 ratio between ports and sky turbines or we can make 1 port and add a lot of turbines?

also atm you presented 3 types of turbines what would be the pro and cons of all ?

also is there a proximity penalty ?
