Acetone production

Hello,

Then trying to build near endgame production of metals (tin especially) i found that you sometimes need acetone and only way to get it (outside tholins) is cumene process. It uses up a lot of resources, but there is a way of getting acetone from propene in real life. You can get it using palladium catalyst.
Propene +PdCl2 + H2O - Acetone + Pd + 2HCl
Pd + 2HCl + O2 - PdCl2

So it net generates zero HCl so the process can be just propene + water + oxygen - acetone.
Maybe add some iron or copper ore to mix as a catalyst.

Last I was playing, the acetone I was getting from cumene was more than I could possibly use, since that was also my primary source of phenol. If you pivot towards some recipes that are optional phenol sinks (such as blood meal nylon) then that may help some too. Or you could just burn the phenol. In any case, getting the cumene itself is really not all that expensive.

I don't use PyAL though so that may be relevant.
