Niobium mining

So... I have a Niobium Mine built which is sitting on an ore patch, and I'm not sure what I need to do. FNEI indicates I need 3 drill bits, 100 Lubricant, 100 Coal gas to get 20 ore. But looking at the building, it only has one fluid input. And seems to be indicating I'm also going get a Refined Syngas as a product, but I don't see an output. Can someone please explain. Thanks.

another one.... People... FNEI isnt perfect! There´s several mistakes on it with pymods. To make niobium mine work, put some drill heads on it and feed with refsyngas. It works as any other mine.

I realize FNEI is not the be all end all, but when dealing with mods like yours, it does lighten the load. Thanks the answer and quick response.

Please excuse my ignorance but.... I have the miners running. My question is now about the output quantity. In the crafting menu, it indicates 12 ore in 7 seconds for 1 drillhead adn 70 Refined Syngas:

But I get two ore per drillhead in about 10 seconds.

I think the recipe might be a residue from the old versions when niobium and borax where crafted in mines that were actually just assembling machines. Now borax and niobium are actually mined, the usual calculation of the rate of production involving mining hardness, mining power, etc. apply, the listed recipes are no longer applicable and should probably be hidden. At least that's my understanding.

i have putted two Niobium mines on the ore patch, it´s feeded with Drills and with Syn Gas, electricity is ok, everything is well connected as usual, but nothing is getting extracted.

Why?

Thanks to everyone

It's Refined Syngas. (Also, no electric power is required, the mine burns drills for power.) (Advice might be obsolete, still on 0.16.)

The machine you were looking at was not the niobium mine, as you could've seen at the bottom. Presumably it was the ground borer. In my save there is actually a "recipe" for the niobium mine in FNEI, which shows the usage of refined syngas (though I think shows that more is used than actually is used?). This recipe is very similar to the "recipe" for iron ore, for example.

FNEI outright can't tell you that the machine needs drill heads though, because it needs them as fuel, rather than on a per-operation basis. You pretty much have to stumble into that, as well as the fact that mega mines need giga drills, on your own. (On the upside, this means niobium miners are technically burner devices and thus don't need power.)

I don't know what's up with FNEI (I thought that these issues have been fixed ?), but both "What is it really used for?" and Helmod do show both Refined SynGas and Drill Heads as required ? (Advice might be obsolete, still on 0.16.)
