Hello, dear pyanodon.
May I ask you to change the names of the recipes in the "prototypes", add numbers or something at the end of the name, so that there is no contact between the recipes, that the reason they do not work in some mods (for example, "nitrogen")?
This interferes with the interaction between recipes, if there are several of them under the same name (there is no possibility of crafting), indirectly changing the recipes.
I will accept the refusal, but please tell me your answer.
I can change: change name of conflicting ones, create new recipes.
But I think that you shouldn't leave it like that, and I shouldn't do something completely different for a general fix through another mod, when you can immediately fix it in the original ..
Thanks in advance for reading. :)

This mod was never intended to be compatible with all other mods. Its too much trouble and too much work i could spend to improve my own mods.

Can I just change the name and post it as a separate mod, or can I provide it for you to check / upload?

You're better off making your own mod and posting it if you wish. You could also contact kingarthur, who maintains a large compatibility mod for Py mods for advice.

I've checked out the new multi-step Stainless Steel recipe, and while at first look it seems promising, it turns out it requires more than twice as much iron as the single step recipe.

Example, using High Grade Iron > Molten Iron path, and hot air versions of the recipes, for producing 100 Stainless Steel:

The original recipe: requires 62 Iron Ore Dust (258 Iron Ore).

The multi-step recipe:
  • requires 15 Iron Ore Dust for the molten steel in the recipe
  • requires an additional 115 Iron Ore Dust for the Fuel Rod MK03. The Fuel Rod also requires a large amount of Sulfuric Acid, which is likely to add even more iron cost.
So in total it needs 130 Iron Ore Dust (544 Iron Ore), not counting the Sulfuric Acid. The Fuel Rod requires almost 8 times as much iron than the Molten Steel in the recipe.

I assume this is not intended, and the multi-step version is supposed to be more efficient? I'd recommend reducing the Fuel Rod requirement at least by 10x, so it'll be competitive with the original recipe.
It's worse than that - it looks like that (at least) the Mk2 and 3 Fuel rod recipes have a bug in that they require around TWO (!!!) orders of magnitude too many buildings and resources (uranium ore, iron ore dust, lead, sulfuric acid, steam...), which makes them prohibitive to use for anything (but maybe in combat vehicles where you might need the extra edge...)

Here helmoded for 1 GW worth of rods :

pY-fuel_rod_mk3-uranium3.png

(Enriched uranium use is approximate, but shouldn't be an order of magnitude off - first time I fail to beat helmod into submission - "good job" in making that crazy Uranium Processing 3 chain ! XD )

This then includes making advanced recipes for advanced steels and later combustion mixture recipes which requires fuel rods mk2 and 3...

Hi PyTeam
Do you plannig any changes in silver-lead prodcution chain and chaanges in propene getting in next update? Getting propene with oil subproducts is possible?
Silver plates have become more important in production chains where serum is required in PYAL
Optical fiber eats many silver plates when using PYHT bcuz circuit 3 requires many optical fiber for magnetic cores

NO. but propene maybe get other ways

Is it really an issue ? Propene seems to eat only like 2% of the lead plates in the combined silver/lead smelting with Lead processing 3 chain.
(Are you trying to "power through" silver with lower tech ?
BTW, Soot is a verrry nice source for early silver & gold !)

(And there *are* other ways to get propene : particle accelerator, phagnots 2, petgas 3, tholins 3... though I haven't even bothered to helmod them yet.)

P.S.: An opportunity to showcase my Lead & Silver setup, nice !

(Some machines are disabled because I don't need the full throughput yet, and don't want to waste circuit2's on mk2 machines and prodmods. EDIT: And IIRC the setup was initially designed for mk1 machines and no prodmods anyway ?)

I don't know if I am hitting some type of bug but i have some problems with quartz level 2 processing.
When i tried to configure washer to work on prepared quartz game tells that this recipe could not be produce in this machine.

Same goes with purified quartz (recipe on left). I am play on version 2.2.7.
No matter bug, awesome work on mode. I gives second live for Factorio after passing vanilla few times.

Dont try to alter the mod. We are not gonna fix stuff that isnt broken by ourselves.

These two recipes are supposed to go in pY Fusion Energy's Centrifugal Pan..?

P.S.: Is the above what happens without pY FE ??

Yes it was without FE. I looks like i turn off too much. Thank for help, now with FE works great, some part of base need to be fixed up but i expected more.

Well, ideally, either :
- this recipe shouldn't be available without FE
- this building should be available without FE
- this recipe should use another building without FE : looks like it used to be the washer, but it doesn't have enough fluid inputs ?

When is the big update? Approximately how many days/weeks/months are left to wait? No strength to endure! :D :D :D

i have no idea what an "archer" is.

But anyway....today we finished the uranium drill, used to extract uranium from ore patches.

Oh, what happened to this one, it looks awesome !
Why do we still use regular drills for uranium ? For better compatibility with other mods ??

Hell no. No idea what happened to that. I don't think I've ever actually seen it. Will have to ask py about it
