Hello, I wanted to share with you my early base - looking for improvements since I just decided to start over again with everything I learned so far :)

Early power setup that also generates coke for furnaces - inserted manually - I was really happy to get it going.

This is my attempt for power generation - version 3 of what I actually tried to build that I actually liked. After connecting everything and seeing it run smoothly for ~2 minutes I decided to strip the early game power generation from the picture above. That was a mistake since I miscalculated combustion mixture outputs on powerhouses - 50 instead of 60 that combustion turbine generates (was sure it was 1:1 and not 0,8:1) - so instead of setting up boilers again I decided to slightly alter the mod to change outputs by that missing 10 combustion mixture fluids and fix it later on with bots.

pic 2/2 - became big fan of direct-insert chain: mushroms -> furnance -> coal before i was even done with this setup :)

here's some science generation - red one for that case, direct inserts from botanical nursery's to wood processing units to minimalize belts and give it max efficiency - pic 1/2

I greatly struggled for quarts (and glass obviously) in this game. The starting quarts deposited were sparse - had space for only 6-7 miners that couldn't do the job. Luckily I found new quartz patch one the far right at first pic - since I didn't have any trains, placed some chests as outputs for quarts and manually moved it to stone furnaces that were placed here before. It didn't work out well, replaced chests with a long-ass belt. Anyway, here's my upgraded glass manufacture. My first idea was to use x4 glass recipe that uses ball mill + powdered quarts + pure sand - but that took too much of space to set up. Decided to finally do x3 glass recipe with a possibility to place ball mills in the center of those jaw crushers (space calculated - direct insert from crushers). -pic 2/2

First proper smelting facility - plenty of ways to improve + calculate properly. Didn't really do it well enough but needed to get rid of stone furnaces as soon as possible.

not a bad first start. though i suggest u use LTN (or other similar transport mods i know nothing about). things will get out of hand quickly when u progress beyond brown circuits. vanilla trains and main buses dont work in this mod series.

The only analogue of LTN that I know of is TSM, which is a much less powerful mod, especially when your train network deals with a large number of different kinds of products like it does in Py. There are two ways to use TSM that aren't super heavy on shenanigans like circuitry. The first is to have supplier stops at your builds. The second is to have supplier stops in train yards. Either way, you wind up needing a ton of train parking: at least one stop for every single type of item shipped on your network. You also have to know what a train at a pickup stop wants, and unlike LTN, TSM's model can't help you do that, so you have to do it yourself (either by filtering slots, checking the train ID with a circuit, or just only providing one kind of item per stop). In contrast, with LTN, if you have a lot of low-throughput items, you can get away with a relatively small depot, and provider stops are easy to design (because the stop output tells you what is supposed to wind up in the train).

It's crude to BTX to aromatics to petgas, and coal bed gas to acid gas, and that makes sulfuric acid. These are all red buildings. Uses about 170 crude, 1.7 iron, and .85 nex for 1000 sulfuric without modules.

It's crude to BTX to aromatics to petgas, and coal bed gas to acid gas, and that makes sulfuric acid. These are all red buildings. Uses about 170 crude, 1.7 iron, and .85 nex for 1000 sulfuric without modules.
