Suggestion for less chat spam

Post by MewMew »

Turning the notifications off is impractical.
Turning them on will lead to chat spam.

A small LTN toggle button in the top gui, displaying a scrollable text log when clicked, would solve this.
This would allow for even more detailed information, without spamming chat too much.

Writing a dedicated gui just to display messages is pointless when LTNT and LTNM exist.

The last time I tested them they took over 30% UPS.
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.

No idea how you get 30% UPS for either.
Thought LTNM could spread updates over more ticks. While updating with it goes from 0.004 to 0.4 and back down.

Was unplayable. But I’ll inspect it.

FAT Controller has a UI to show alerts about trains. Maybe there's something usable there?

That is not very useable, because normally you have some trains standing on the way to the depots and it can take some minutes, until they arrive. FAT will then warn, that the train is not moving.

To the origin question about the speed of LTNM:

LTN is constantly at between 4 to 5 ms. That's more or less ok for about 500 trains. LTNM always above 20. Turning it on makes the game unplayable.

If there are any tips, what I should look for or how to find out why that is so high, please tell me. :)

For ltnm is an update planned which should reduce processing time.
Read it on Discord - not sure if it's out now.
