I updated factorio Ver.0.14 to Ver0.15.
I am changing mega boiler power plant to mega nuclear power plant.
36 nuclear reactor working without optimization and about half of area which was used for boiler plant.
However the energy generation is enough to sustain my large factory.

How much energy is your nuclear setup producing?
You could have pretty much halfed your reactor build if you would have used them in a 2x2 configuration or bigger. Its actually best to make them ALL adjacent to one another - in a line of 2xN or bette with some having three neighbors.
32 reactors can produce almost 5GW.

The efficieny must be better when I use other nuclear reactor alignment, but current energy generation is enough for my factory.
When I need more energy production in this factory, I will change the alignment of nuclear reactor.

I changed my factory in order to consume huge electricities and judge the limit of nuclear power.
About 150k robots simultaneously working in my factory.
Electricity generation from 32 nuclear reactor is 5.6 GW as a picture I uploaded.
I also attached blueprint of one cell of my nuclear reactor.

Your base is far more epic than any of mine have ever been. Come to think of it, probably bigger than all the factories I've built in different games combined!

Distelzombie is correct. The difference in heat produced between 1x2 and 2x2 is huge. 1x2 behaves as if it were 4 reactors but 2x2 behaves as if it were 12 reactors - 3 times the power at only double the reactor count. However this benefits you only in efficient use of U235, the amount of real estate isn't greatly reduced because you still need the same number of heat exchanges and turbines to make the same total power. 32 reactors behave as if they are 124 = 4.96GW

I am surprised your discussions.
I made this nuclear plant haphazardly and without calculations.
I have only stayed this thread until now but I will check other threads for study.

It's also fun to batch 'em up for simultaneous launches. (This 750-rocket launch took me from 65144 satellites to 65894 :) ...)
