Super compact blue FACTORIES. Made by Kwiz and Vel-master

Post by rymn »

Please note: The interesting part begins on next page (the originating pic is sadly removed)
The described designs here are OUTDATED. The production chain has changed a lot, since then. Nonetheless this is interesting enough to make it sticky.

Yeah I'll send it over when I get a chance.

Also, this takes raw materials and outputs blue.

Duuuuuuuude!
That is probably the most compacted factory i have ever seen (plus it's for science pack 3!). How much time did this took you (or better: How many prototypes did you have to build?)?
Awesome factory!

Do you have some idea how efficient is this? How many blue science packs can you produce per minute?

Idk, but before I realized I had more blue than eas required to research EVERTHING in the game

Seems like we need to add more expensive technologies and upgrades :)

The game replaying is still not 100% deterministic, I was able to reproduce 1. and 2. level of demo precisely (checked by making crc check every tick), but in 3rd level, the electricity and water logic has some non-determnistic behaviour, this needs to be solved, as it is prerequisite for multiplayer.

Interesting to know! :)

The first time I tried replay my mind was blown. xD I didn't even know about that feature :)

It runs at max effiency for one assembler 2 unit (assuming full material and electric support, works out to about 22.2 seconds per pack, near as I can tell).

I'm happy to see you here, I see my plan worked.

Everyone. I did not make this marvelous factory. Kwiz made it. :o I told him I would post it on the forums and take credit until he signed up for the forums.. I like to call it a hostile take over of his intellectual property, but it is rightfully his.

Good to see you buddy

Good to be here. With that out of the way, here is an updated factory that is belt-fed, lower tech, and less energy consumptive. The highlighted factories are now assembler 1 factories (to reduce energy consumption). The tech limits are fast belts, steel, and filter inserters. So basically the stuff you need to make blue juice anyway :D There is (probably) a 20x20 version that includes all the necessary smelters on the way (so you can just funnel raw materials in; not sure who would need this, but it will (probably) be available anyway). All factories are, as always, max output (at least of the target product). ImageImage
