Ore-2-bus endgame beaconed design set perfectly saturated

Post by Engimage »

I have created a set of blueprints which can help implement compact tilable solution to create a base bus directly from raw ores.
All designs produce fully saturated compressed outputs
You can combine tiles to create a bus of desired size and configuration. Just feed the ores!

Iron Ore -> Steel
The design is pretty big and actually contains 4 same tiles but that is the price of steel - 5 iron ores per piece.

Iron + Copper -> Green Circuits

Iron + 2 Copper + 2 Plastic -> Red Circuits
This blueprint also consists of 4 same tiles but red circuits really do require that much.
I have merged inputs to understand how many real belts you need to feed to fully saturate output. You can redesign input splits for sure.

Also I am planning to release oil processing tilable expandable set a bit later.

I think these are wonderful. Looking forward to the oil design. If you don't do blue, I will try :)

All designs? Well, *almost* all designs ;-). I was curious what kind of monstrosity would convert belts of ore into a fully compressed blue belt of blue circuits (which I think would take 38 blue belts of copper and 20 of iron :) )

looks like a nice layout. :)

i'm not a fan of the 'classic' single splitter lane balancer used.
animated example
this one will take from both halves, of both belts evenly.
can also balance a single lane. credit to Jackalope.

The balancer here serves another purpose really and balancing is a secondary goal.
Primary goal is to make belt more compressed as single side has some small gaps for some reason from time to time and classic balancer offloading 2 side belt to a single lane prevents this gaps from being created serving as a small buffer.

Thank you so much for sharing these. I've been using several of them and really like them, especially the 2-belt smelting and steel. I figured out how to get red circuits without belt braiding:

This post is absolutely beautiful. You should give MojoD a shoutout to see your beautiful belt magic.

Snider. That is a weird way to do the output but I must admit its very smart and works so hey

Nice trick! I'll make note of it and will probably use it in some designs later for sure. Really neat!

Can you share your oil processing now ?

I think you have done a very good work so far.

I did that already
viewtopic.php?f=202&t=52794

However due to compression issues since 0.16 most of builds in this thread will not be saturated enough as they used underground compression trick.
I am currently waiting for upcoming compression solution and when it is made clear I will redo all the designs.
