One Way City Block

Hi Everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with "one-way" city blocks. The other way to think about it is a very wide 2-way system with buffer between crossings and you build with it. I haven't had a chance to try it out in scale yet but I was hoping to get some feedback/hear about people's experiences with this concept/
