Daylight sensor

Post by Bauer »

Inspired by XKnigths post (viewtopic.php?f=204&t=27866&p=182674#p182909) I created a sensor for dusk that does not only detect precisely the onset of dusk, but also counts down until night.

The upper counter (1) is fully powered all day and night. Connect to your main grid. In the example I use an accumulator to make sure that there is always amply power. The lower counter (2) slows down when the solar cell's power decreases. Unfortunately, the slowing of the combinator is random, i.e. not linear with the power shortage. Hence, I one by one switch off the lamps in order to have enough power left for the combinator in counter 2 to run (barely)... until their is no power left. The first flickering of the counter 2 starts a counter to 12500 in the reset circuit. After that (dusk+night+dawn), the control circuit resets and all lamps jump to life again.
