I'm having some problems with this mod, i'm sure its just because I don't know what i'm doing. When I try to start a game with this mod I get __RailTanker__/control.lua:130: attempt to index global 'game' (a nil value). How do I fix this?

Sounds like you are using a wrong version. Did you get it from factoriomods.com? Those are outdated/broken, if i could i'd delete them from the site, but i can't.

Sounds like you are using a wrong version. Did you get it from factoriomods.com? Those are outdated/broken, if i could i'd delete them from the site, but i can't.

I recently ran into the problem that my pumps kept feeding even if the train left already. checked the oil-amounbt and it decreased as well.

Since im kinda new, i have no clue how to check for errors here.

My simple solution: Since i'm using the rail logistics which comes with a train detector, i just activate the pumps when a train is near.
Might be something u could add to prevent those problems when u dont find another solution :)

Anyhow. thanks for the mod!

This sounds like the bug where the fake tanks get left behind. Working on a fix.

Haha lol, yes, it's spanish, the game uses " es-ES " for those files.

Updated to Railtanker 1.2.1
  • fixed desyncs in MP (hopefully)
  • small pump will have its collision box changed to vanilla (to prevent bugs with SqueakThrough)
  • more error checks in the remote interface
  • cleaned up code
  • new tech icon by Meppi
  • spanish translation by frenchiveruti
  • polish translation by diilmac
Not sure if the bug with the invisible tanks is fixed (was never able to reproduce it), but the code changed quite a bit, so let's hope it is :D

Updating should work fine, to be extra sure backup your save before trying. If it doesn't work, reload with the old version and empty all tankers and pick them up. Then install the latest version.

unfortunately not, it still has invisible boxes on the spots of my stations. I still need to rotate or remove the pumps to get oil flowing, each train.

You probably are one of the few that downloaded the borked 1.2.0 version, where each train would have left their tankers behind. Please download again and see if that helps (also mine the bugging tankers and place them again, just to be sure).
If you still got these issues i'd appreciate the save (pm me if you want)

Because he had the borked version that left invisible tankers he now has the save game with invisible entities and the way to remove them is to remove the mod, save the game then put back the mod but that will remove all his tankers from the game so the only other solution is to move the cursor over the invisible tankers and type following code in console:

thanks so much! that indeed resolved the issue! at first i thought the command didn't do anything, turns out there were 5 boxes stacked on top of each other. at least now i have automatic oil again :)

Hello,

after updating to 1.2.1 the train don't leave the station anymore with smart trains.

The Fat Controller displays always roundabout 1800 oil in the train.
Did rebuild the whole train but didn't change anything.

After downgrading it works again.
Maybe the fill level before upgrade is saved and used somewhere but don't get changed anymore.

experienced the same:
im checking the content with a sensor on the train and after it got emptied on the station, it jumps back to its old (full) value.
Cant empt6y it more and the oil icon disappeared.

Is there any way to see how much oil is in the tanker? I think it's working because I get the oil drop when it stops, but I'm not sure how much oil is loaded. At the moment I have the time set to 30 seconds. Should probably be longer

Updated to Railtanker 1.2.2
  • upgrading removes invalid tanks
  • fixed error in remote interface (wrong readouts in FatController and SmartTrains)
