If a graphist desire to draw better than me for Weather station, he can find the png files in the zip graphics subfolder but please manifest here before.
I think it could have a cute small weather turbine.
It has to be compatible with electronic green and red wires connectors of the constant combinator because it is basically a modded constant combinator.

It is the same if you want to add your language, the subfolder is locale. Actual languages are english and french.

You will be quoted in the mod descriptions.

I was just thinking that. What use are wind direction and speed? They affect nothing afaik.

The default wind is constant (given value is 0.02). Wind turbines mods I studied KS Power and Wind turbines V16 both makes the wind vary over time but maybe I am wrong. Have you tried Mo'Weather ? This is all for the community to make mods that use the wind speed, change it when needed, decide what the 0.02 unit is and make the whole thing compatible. So that I am glad you asked and think about it. There is another signal I could have added which is the wind direction variation but it is not used by mods at all and its value is always 0.0001 or -0.0001 or something like that.

Do you need settings to hide undesired signals ?
It could be
luminosity - activated by default
wind speed - deactivated by default
wind direction - deactivated by default

But the signals will keep showing up in the signal selection list, it is just that the weather station won't produce them, won't produce a value for them.

If the windspeed varies over time and could influence the power output of windmills then it would be a useul addition.
As far as I could find out the energy output of the windmills in ks_power is determined randomly and the intervals are very short so that output changes too quickly.
In my opinion energy output of windmills should change over gamehours and not every second.

The challange then would be to store the electricity for periods of low windspeed. The uncertainty of the duration of the calm adds to the difficulty compared to fixed day-night-cycles of solar power.

Direction would not matter because windmills can turn themselves into the wind.

Hi, if you just change the factorio_version to 0.18 it works from the start.
