I just want to check, having seen the talk about science cost tweaker mod that is incorporated into the seablock pack.

I had trouble opening a seablock map, saved a few months ago, in the current combination of seablock pack and compatible factorio version. I needed to update the science cost tweaker mod to the latest version (...37) to get past the migration problem. Will this be a problem since the version isn't the one included in the seablock pack?

If so, I guess I will need to find the old combination of seablock pack and factorio version I was using and revert to it (not played with a mod pack before otherwise I reckon I'd have avoided any updating).

i did forgot to update migrations script for elder versions of saves. but all errors should be fixed. so current version of SCTM 0.16.37 is save to use, since all changes between 0.16.34 and 0.16.37 were only fixes for migration scripts.

i plan to do more changes to SCTM in future version, that might break seablock again tho' ... so i recommend watching SCTM thread

so if i write there, seablock users should not update until seablock incorporates changes, then it means exactly that.

what i learned from my seablock experience so far: if you got a stable version, don't touch any mods in any way unless you want to rebuild half your factory.

(you can of course backup the mods to a second directory and just change them back and forth if you want to try other stuff)

I love this mod(pack), but it isn´t fast. After 83 h of playing one map, starting with factorio Version 0.16.15 and sea block 0.2.0, i finally automated blue science. It is hard work.
I got a question: has anybody a nice string for gold smelting around the tech "advance gold smelting"?
My autocorrection is going wild, because i´m german.

seablock is chalenging pack, it is not intended to be easy, especially considering combination of all mods included in it.

For starter, at the moment i feed my blast furnace with one ore sorter, feeded by two ruby flotation, and the rest of the ruby sorter for the aluminium ore.
In that case, i´m pretty sure, everything will double my gold output.

You should prioritize getting the pure gold combining recipe, rubyte hydro refining produces so much lead and nickel which isn't really usable. Pure gold is a much greater leap in yield by eliminating all that lead.

i downloaded the modpack but there are still vanilla electronic circuits(green circuit) in my begin chest. and i believe that they are not supposed to be there if i watch the beginning of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIIZM5J ... nel=Nilaus

that video was made with elder version of seablock pack (i think it was 0.2.6 or something, first version for factorio 0.16). current version has some (lot of ) changes.

The green circuit is correct. The Circuit Processing mod tweaks bobs circuits and make them green, red, blue and black.
In the video, Shiny Bobs or such is used, i think, which changes the textures again.

What does does 'Pollution: 80%' in solid fuel description mean?
Does it reduce pollution to 80% when burned? I've tried comparing it to charcoal pellets in a burner and pollution seems to be the same.
Or does reduce it's fuel value by 20% or 80% (to 20MJ or 5MJ respectively)?
Or maybe it doesn't do anything at all and can be safely ignored?

Hey, i just wanted to try this mod, and did get this error when starting the game

it produces less pollution. on the boilers and such it's not visible but if you enable the debug feature for numerical pollution you can see it.
