I want it too. But I don't know how to do it efficiently. That's why I made a request here: viewtopic.php?f=28&t=41719#p245202
Maybe one day the devs will implement it. :D

How long do they last btw? That is kinda important information. I would hope for 5 minutes at minimum. And yes, I know vanilla night is only like 3 minutes, but some mods extend it.

The first one lasts 2 minutes only. MK2 lasts 4 minutes, and the Sun Capsule lasts 20 minutes.
In my test game, I didn't pay attention to their duration, because whenever the effect expired, I just shot another capsule.
But if you think this information is really important, I will add an option to show it in the item descriptions. :)

Released v0.2.0 for Factorio 0.15. Also implemented the requests. ;)

At that point, it might make more sense to just make a mod to install lights in your armor. :)

Howabout a module that gives you a big light radius? It could cost the same amount of power as night vision, it would simply be an alternative option.

I also think that when you unlock modular armor, you should get some modules right away instead of having to make 3+ researches to use the grid.
