Long Description:
This mod allows you to create filtering splitters.
These splitters can be combined into large splitters which divide incoming items equally over all outputs.
They also allow you to set filters, if any splitters in the set have a filter, all filtered items are spread over the filtering splitters only.

Just ported and fixed which is why i had at first put it into the unofficial updates forum but they moved it here.

Thanks for porting this! I was looking for a proper port for quite some time. lol.
I do have one question though, I was really wanting to be able to use this to pull items from my main bus, but my framerate seemes to drop rather substantially (like to 2 fps... My bus is around 30 belts across so it's fairly substantial...) I feel like it's probably just slightly unreasonable to ask the game to sort thousands (probably) of objects per second, but maybe something else was going on. Has anyone found any good guidelines for splitter size, and what are the biggest sizes that have been successfully used?

Yet another unofficial port, fixes the bug:

Error Util.cpp:58: Error while running the event handler: __SmartSplitters__/control.lua:409: Map doesn't contain 1 player, this function can't be used
