This mod make so much fun and is so usefull ...

I would be cool if we can have a Bomber that can shoot cannon shells and capsule ... make it 20-30% slower and it would be perfect.
Then make a "Transporter" that have no weapons but many slots to transport something (like a car).

The plane is affected by terrain type. This probably shouldn't happen.

Improvement Idea: A method to call the aircraft to your location.

How many times how we driven a vehicle to a location, then get carried away in construction or biter killing only to forget where we parked our vehicle. It would be nice to be able to press a button and have the vehicle arrive at our location, ready for our use.

Well, this mod is still under development and there are limitations to things like that. Just have patience ;)

Great mod.
Only problem i have is to spot it when it is parked on concrete. It blends pretty well with it. Maybe make the textures a bit darker?
Just for ease of use. They do look beautiful.

You can change the picture from the Aircraft with the red one ... simply change the gunship_1_sheet.png with the the Red One.
I have make it too but i cant find it the most time in my base ... now with the Red one its better.

This is a great mod. I love the ease of exploring without crashing into trees and exploding. I can't wait for the newer gfx to be added, they look awesome. My feedback on the balancing issues is the fuel consumption. It's a bit silly to have an airplane be powered by coal, my suggestion is to make a new item (called rocket fuel or whatever) that's made from various resources like light oil or the like and have the airplane run on that. For what the aircraft gives, it certainly does not consume enough fuel. Since you're planning on having multiple gfx and probably researches to go along with it, how about different types of aircrafts. A carrier would have minimal firepower, slow speed and huge inventory. A fighter would have high fire power, minimal speed and tiny inventory. A scout would have high speed, low fire power and medium inventory. Different types would require different research to build. There can also be researches to improves things like inventory space, speed and firepower for the appropriate types of aircraft. Assuming that any of this is even possible. I would love to one day see logistic aircrafts in Factorio, for transporting resources similar to how trains work. That is most likely not possible and probably not the direction you want to go, but this mod is great progress in the air-direction that I would love to see grow.

Hey.

Here i have a Small Bug Fix to your MOD.

Add this 2 Lines in the locale en in the item-name Order.

aircraft-machine-gun = Machine gun
aircraft-rocket-launcher = Rocket launcher

With that the Items in the Gunship are named.

This is the first I've heard of anyone having issues with the mod.
Might I ask:
1. Have you changed the code at all after download?
2. What version are you running?
3. What other mods are you also using? (that shouldn't matter, but just in case)

This mod was designed to run with 0.12.x, NOT 0.11.x.
Right in the first post are the words: "Tested With Version: 0.12.0"
You're going to have to use experimental if you want this to work.

It's hidden. To unlock it you need to put :

got a little crash.. well, i was supposed to die :P... lot of spitters was shooting at me while flying, try to run away , i was over water when i "crash" /die.. it crash the game
so, dying in plane when over water crash the game

I had sent a request to the mod author a while ago about using this mod for a larger version of it, but it's been over a month with no reply. I think I'm just going to start doing it anyway :shock: because I don't think he's going to come back.
