It's finally ready! The long-awaited update for Wildfire Season - you know, the one that makes it actually start fires - is released!
As of version 19.1.2, you can expect a fire to start in a random tree, every 30 minutes. The fires can be devastating! They are tuned to cause maximal forest damage.
In version 19.1.3, I went back and refactored the search to focus on player locations. This is because the pollution from the large fires, generates a lot more map. The fires will then tend to be off in the great distance, and will keep generating more and more map, with more pollution. The fires would thus not be visible to the player.
The default search time, is every 30 minutes. The minimum is 5, and the maximum is 3600 minutes.
The default search radius, is 100 tiles. The maximum distance you can set is 3600 tiles.
There is an option to generate extra trees around the one that is discovered, to increase the pain. Disable it for easier time.
The tree hop limit default is 2048. This means a forest map can have big, incredibly long-lasting fires. So, combine it with some more hardcore tree mods and the difficulty (and CPU taxation) really ramp up!
The solution is to eliminate all of the trees in your base! There can be no fires, if there are no trees!

Nice option for people, who would otherwise remove trees for extra challenge.
